Camping, Yurts and Tipis Trellyn and Ty Parke are both recommended in the 'Cool Camping' guides. They offer beautiful peaceful surroundings with all the facilities you need (and a few more besides). Ty Parke has a lovely nature walk and Trellyn, voted 'the coolest campsite in Wales' by Cool Camping, offers bushcraft courses. Our passengers have enjoyed the freedom of traditional 'real' camping (with camp fires) and more exotically the yurts and tipis for those like to adventure in comfort.

Camping, Campervans and Touring Caravans Glan Y Mor is a dog friendly campsite which offers lovely sea views of St Brides Bay and is within easy walking distance of St Davids, Caerfai beach and the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Spring Meadow Farm offers a welcoming and quiet campsite close to St Davids with the bonus of fresh vegetables and salad from their farm shop and the possibility of picking your own strawberries. Dogs are welcome.

B and Bs Craig-Y-Mor is a luxury 5 star family run B and B just 5 minutes' walk from Whitesands beach. All rooms are en-suite with sea views and tv (should you need it with the views!) and open plan lounge areas. Breakfast is with locally sourced produce, including Craig-Y-Mor eggs. Wi fi and parking are included. Preseli Venture's Eco Lodge caters for singles, couples and groups in a quiet coastal setting about 15 minutes' drive from St Davids, offering free Wi Fi, drying room, private bar, wood burner, all a 10 minute walk from the nearest beach. The Old School Hostel is now a B and B and self-catering for singles and groups. It's 5 minutes' from the sea and about 15 minutes' drive from St Davids.

Things to do in St Davids: Family and Adventure Activities

Coasteering It sounds mad - don a wetsuit, old trainers and helmet, scramble and swim around our rocky coastline. Leave the hard work (calculating tides etc) to the professionals - Celtic Coasteering (Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy) and Preseli Venture - and just go and have a blast.

Climbing and Abseiling Pembrokeshire has excellent sea cliff climbing. Dragon Activity Guides offer climbing and abseiling according to ability (beginners welcome). A great way to make the most of our fabulous scenery and create your own adventure with local expertise.

Surfing Newgale is a beautiful beach with the bonus of lifeguard cover. Surf ranges from boogie-board-friendly ripples to board-crushing monsters so if you don't know the beach well please talk to someone who does. Newsurf and the Big Blue Experience do board / wetsuit hire and lessons and even have webcams to show you all the surf you're missing.

Kayaking Mike Mayberry Kayaking (Fishguard) and Dragon Activity Guides (both St Davids coast) offer guided kayaking tours for all ages and abilities. Pembrokeshire's coastline is stunning but its waters should never be underestimated. Go with the experts and sit back and enjoy the scenery (and paddle a bit!).

Sailing PPSA, based at Llanion Cove, Pembroke Dock, have an experienced team to help you to discover the fun of sailing. They cater for everyone from children to experienced adults and offer dinghy and multi hull courses.

Relaxation Dani's Massage and Beauty offers a range of relaxing treatments or Swedish massage if you've pushed yourself a bit hard with your outdoor activities! The therapist comes to you so you don't even need to go out but can relax in style at home. If you want a bit of spa pampering then Ivybridge Spa in Goodwick (half an hour's drive from St Davids) offers a range of facilities and treatments.

Escape Room St Davids Escape Room offers an exciting 'Crystal maze' style puzzle solving activity suitable for families, kids and adult groups. Now with both an indoor Escape Room and an outdoor 'Low Ropes Escape', you can give escaping a go in rain or shine!

St Davids Where to Eat and find Wi Fi

Our passengers recommend The Bishops pub in the centre of St Davids for its food and nautical decor including an upside down boat! They also provide free Wi Fi. The Bench brings Italian flavour to the centre of St Davids but be warned: their home-made ice cream is fantastic!

A little further afield The Shed in Porthgain is an award-winning fish restaurant with a great atmosphere. They specialise in fish, much of it caught locally but also offer vegetarian options if asked in advance. If you want great coffee with a view they have tables outside by the harbour or you can enjoy a lovely sea view from the restaurant. Also in Porthgain is the popular local pub, The Sloop, known for its local seafaring memorabilia, its warm welcome and its food. It also offers free Wi Fi.

Your Dog On Holiday in Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is an ideal place to explore with your dog, with miles of coast path and stunning beaches. You can download maps of beaches and any dog walking restrictions (effective May 1st to September 30th) from Visit Pembrokeshire.

Your dog is welcome on our boat free of charge. If you have a day of activities planned and need someone to look after your dog for you then Preseli Pet CareDinas Dogs, and Preseli Animal Homecare, will look after your canine family members whether they need walks, visits or overnight stays.

Should the worst happen and your dog becomes lost Llanstinan Kennels 01348 840676 look after lost and found dogs. Be reassured: they have a non destruct policy.
